Program Grants are available for eligible Illinois non-profit organizations that provide arts programming of high artistic merit in arts-education, dance, ethnic and folk arts, literature, media, multi-disciplinary, music, theater and visual arts. Grants are available for either general operating support or project support.
Program Grant funds provide support to established not-for-profit organizations that make a significant local, regional, or statewide impact on the quality of life in Illinois. Grants recognize arts programming of high quality that is appropriate to and reflective of the communities served and that broaden opportunities for the public to participate in the arts.
Successful applicants demonstrate strong operations, stable management, ongoing assessment and evaluation and a strong commitment to making artistic programs accessible and relevant to a diverse range of participants. Organizations must also show that their programs and activities have artistic, educational, and cultural value.
The Fiscal Year 2016 (FY16) Program Grant deadline is March 16, 2015.
The updated guidelines and application for FY16 will be available in mid-January 2015. Until then, the current guidelines can be used for reference.
NOTE: The Illinois Cultural Data Project requirement for FY16 is as follows: Applicants must submit data for three consecutive fiscal years, one of which must be 2013. All years must have "Review Complete" status.
