Fifth House Ensemble

Biography: 

Composed of musicians Herine Coetzee, DeAunn Davis, Adam Marks, Karl Rzasa, Eric Snoza, Melissa Snoza, and Jennifer Woodrum, Fifth House Ensemble is a versatile and dynamic group whose performances engage audiences through its connective programming and unexpected performance venues.

Fifth House’s innovative educational endeavors have resulted in a residency at the Walt Disney Magnet School in Chicago, as well as residencies at Manchester College in Indiana and the University of Northern Iowa. Programs are customized to the curriculum of each school, with the goals of promoting active listening skills and connecting music to a wide variety of subjects.

Artistic Statement: 

Fifth House Ensemble widens the scope of chamber music by creating new connections with other musical, visual, and performance arts, making its performances uniquely accessible to audiences not normally reached by classical music. Fifth House’s educational programs encourage imagination and active listening, demonstrating classical music’s relevance to young audiences today. Fifth House performances encourage interaction between listener and artist while presenting chamber music at the highest possible artistic level.
