“Capriccio was stunning in its beauty and perfect meld of tone colors...ravishing, a gem...I would describe the entire concert that way.” - Richland Observer, WI
Capriccio spins enchantment and delights audiences everywhere. The sparkling sound of the flute and the magical quality of the harp combine to form music of unparalleled grace and charm. Internationally-acclaimed harpist Stephen Hartman and award-wining flutist Donna Milanovich are on the rosters of the Illinois Arts Council's Artstour Program and Arts-in-Education Residency Program, as well as the Heartland Arts Fund. They have performed at such diverse concert venues as the National Flute Association in Orlando (FL), Woodstock Opera House (IL), Lincoln University (MO), Shenandoah Music Association (IA), Arkansas State University (AR), Kalamazoo Community Arts (MI), Richland Center (WI), and WFMT’s Live From Studio One. Their versatile and exciting repertoire for flute and harp includes Mozart, Ravel, Bach, Gershwin, Bizet’s Carmen, and Arlen’s Wizard of Oz. They feature both elegant classical concerts and their highly acclaimed half-and-half program of light classical and a mix of popular idioms including jazz, latin, film scores, Broadway tunes, and standards. Seasonal programs are available.
