Artist / Program Description
Presenters consistently rave that hers was the best concert of the season. Claudia Hommel specializes in French chansons, art songs, and a sprinkling of American jazz standards and theatre music, with an expressive range from deep drama to satirical high-jinks. “With a smooth, rich voice,” Paris-born actor/singer Claudia “is at once sexy and sophisticated, stunning in an Audrey Hepburn sort of way.”
Whether songs in intimate settings or intimate moments in large settings, Claudia’s concerts are custom-made for recital halls, theatres, nightclubs, and classrooms.
Neil Tesser (Chicago Reader) reports, “…you'll think you paid for the evening in euros.”
She is also an artist-in-residence for secondary and college-level French, history, music, and theatre, including song interpretation masters classes.
