Artist / Program Description:
Consider People and Give Them the Right Respect is a multimedia exhibit that features artwork by studio artists from the program’s beginning in 1993 through 2003. The primary focus of the exhibit is to challenge the audience to think beyond preconceived notions of people with disabilities and to become aware of their varied concerns. A facilitator (a professional artist from Illinois) and an artist with developmental disabilities will make a joint presentation about the exhibit, representing the people who are a part of the exhibit and provide an overview of the Multi-Disciplinary Arts Center program.
