Elgin Symphony Orchestra

Artist / Program Description:
Located just forty minutes by car or train from Chicago’s downtown loop, the Elgin Symphony Orchestra (ESO), with an annual budget of $2.3 million, is Illinois’ largest orchestra outside the city of Chicago. It was named Illinois Orchestra of the Year three times by the Illinois Council of Orchestras. Performances include Classic Concerts, Pops Concerts, Holiday Spectacular!, a tour to neighboring Schaumburg, and a well-developed program of educational performances.

Touring Program A: A full-scale symphonic concert.
Touring Program B: Four ensembles from the orchestra present two forty-five-minute performances. These entertaining and educational programs link the visual arts, language arts and other subjects to the creation of music. Additional programs can be implemented based on the particular needs of the community or region.
