Artist / Program Description
Singer/pianist Elizabeth Doyle was the magnet for many years at Chicago's famed piano bars including the Pump Room, the Fairmont’s Metropole, and the Drake Hotel's Coq d'Or. Whether working in solo, duo, trio, or quartet configurations, Elizabeth’s jazzy take on popular and inspirational material has been in demand at Chicago’s finest public and private venues. Whether deliciously ditzy, dreamily retro, or spiritually profound, her performances captivate a wide audience. As a composer, her music has been heard in theaters, churches, and cabarets from coast to coast. Her original songs have been featured in the Chicago Humanities Festival and the New York MAC/ASCAP new music showcases. Music-making has taken her to Holland, the Soviet Union, Germany, and France. Her full-length musicals Fat Tuesday, Alice in Analysis, The Virginians and Sleepy Hollow have been produced in Illinois, California, Michigan, Iowa, and Minnesota. While plumbing an international treasure of songs in German, Italian, and Spanish, her French program has been performed for the Bureau of French Tourism, Air France, and the Montreal Bureau of Tourism. She frequently performs with and directs fellow members of Chicago Cabaret Professionals, including Bob Moreen, Bradford Newquist, and Claudia Hommel as Espresso – Four Voices.
