Fox Tales International

Artist / Program Description:
Brian “Fox” Ellis is a dynamic storyteller, prolific author, and highly sought keynote speaker. Through stories and song, myth and poetry, Fox brings the world to your school, library, family reading night, or festival. He especially enjoys custom tailored programs - you name a theme and he has a story! With a repertoire of 400 stories, Fox puts together a performance to fit any theme or age level. He is also the author of seven books including the new children's picture book THE WEB at Dragonfly Pond (Dawn Publications 2005). His award-winning artist-in-residence programs engage students, teachers, and parents in a celebration of literature and drama. Creative writing across the curriculum is his specialty, and in his residencies, every student writes and tells an original tale.

Fox celebrates history and ecology through well-researched, interactive performances. He portrays Charles Darwin, John James Audubon, Wilhelm Grimm, Saint Francis of Assisi, A Friend of Abraham Lincoln, or Mark Twain.
He is also the artistic director for Prairie Folklore Theatre, a unique theatre company that explores regional history through musical theater. Blending original music with traditional folksongs, the audience is immersed in the struggles and triumphs of our forebears. Invite history into your classroom!
