Greg Pasenko

Artist / Program Description

Chicago-based Blujazz recording artist Greg Pasenko is a dynamic jazz singer, guitarist, and composer. He has performed at the Taste of Chicago, the St. Louis Art Fair and Chicago’s Navy Pier, and is a regular performer at the famous 96th Floor Signature Room in Chicago’s John Hancock Building. He was also featured at a performance for President Clinton. Some comments on his work include “…outstanding performance…” from the Chicago Mayor’s Office of Special Events and “…passionate soulful singing…” from Jazz Times.

Either as a soloist or with a trio, vocalist and guitarist Greg Pasenko presents an intimate program of jazz. He performs vocal jazz standards including tunes from "The American Songbook" like George Gershwin and Cole Porter. He will move to a Joe Williams’ jump swing blues and then play a beautiful and intricate jazz guitar instrumental arrangement of a current popular tune. Greg also performs some of his own jazz creations and, between tunes, entertains the audience while educating them on the evolution of jazz music.
