Arts-in-Education Residency
Program Grants
Artist Fellowship

To assist applicants in completing applications for Illinois Arts Council Artists Fellowship Awards, Arts-in-Education Residency Program and Program Grants, Illinois Arts Council (IAC) staff members conduct statewide application workshops.

Note: Picture Identification, such as a driver’s license, is required for entry to the James R. Thompson Center.

Arts-in-Education Residency Program

Held in conjunction with the Arts-in-Education Residency Program (AIE) which has an annual deadline of February 15, these workshops generally take place in the late fall, early winter. Click the link for more information about the Arts-in-Education Residency Program

Program Grants

Artists Fellowship

Held in conjunction with the Artists Fellowship Program which has an annual deadlines of September 1, these workshops generally take place in the summer. Click the link for more information about the Artists Fellowship Program.

The Fellowship Program operates on a two-year rotating cycle. The following categories are offered in odd-numbered fiscal years (FY05): Interdisciplinary/Computer Art, Music Composition, Photography, Poetry and Visual Arts.

The categories of Choreography, Crafts, Ethnic and Folk Arts, Media Arts, New Performance Forms, Prose and Scriptworks will be offered in even-numbered fiscal years (FY06).
