Program Grant Overview

Program Grant funds provide artistic and operational support to established organizations that make a significant local, regional, or statewide impact on the quality of life in Illinois.  This grant is available to registered Illinois not-for-profits with arts programming of high quality, that is accessible to all participants, and is appropriate to and reflective of the communities they serve. Successful applicants demonstrate strong operations, stable management, and ongoing assessment and evaluation.


Program Grant funds may be used for recurring arts and cultural activities that broaden opportunities for Illinois citizens to participate in the arts. Organizations must demonstrate a strong commitment to making artistic programs accessible and relevant to a diverse range of participants. Organizations must also show that their programs and activities have artistic, educational, and cultural value.  Planning and evaluation strategies and a management structure, suitable to the needs of the organization, must be in place.


FY13 Program Grant deadline is March 15, 2012.
