Illinois Cultural Data Project

The Illinois Cultural Data Project (CDP) is an online management tool for collecting and standardizing historical financial and organizational data. This system allows users to track their own financial and programmatic performance over time and to benchmark themselves against comparable organizations in specific disciplines, geographic regions, and budget sizes. There is no cost for arts and cultural organizations to participate in the Illinois CDP. To learn more about the Illinois CDP, please visit ilculturaldata.org.

Illinois Arts Council Requirement
Applicants to the Program Grant, Grants to Arts Service Organizations, and Partners in Excellence programs must submit an IAC Funder Report generated from the Illinois Cultural Data Project. All submitted IAC Funder Reports must include “Review Complete” status from the Illinois CDP for each year of data. The Illinois Cultural Data Project IAC Funder Report will be uploaded to the Illinois eGrant system as required Attachment B.

Registration
In order to use the site, an organization must first create a login. Select a unique Organization ID and password, which will be used to login to the site on future visits. Organizations that have already used the Illinois CDP system have an account and should not create another. Help recovering forgotten login or passwords are provided through the Illinois CDP website. More information is available on the Illinois CDP New User Orientation page.

CDP Approval Process
At any given time, it can take the Illinois CDP staff several days and up to a few weeks to review data, work with organizations to resolve issues, and re-check it before assigning “Review Complete” status. The Illinois CDP help desk is aware of IAC deadlines and will work to ensure that all data submitted in a timely manner are reviewed quickly.

There may be steps that organizations must take to reach “Review Complete” status. Once the Illinois CDP has reviewed submitted data the status may change from “Submitted Awaiting CDP Review” to “Submitted – Call to Complete Review”. Illinois CDP will contact organizations via email with suggested revisions. It is imperative that follow-up is immediate. Until Illinois CDP recieves a response, the status will remain “Submitted – Call to Complete Review” and will not be accepted by the IAC.
