IACA announces the resignation of Executive Director Tatiana Gant

The Illinois Arts Council Agency (IACA) announces the resignation of Executive Director Tatiana Gant, effective June 30, 2017. Ms. Gant has worked with the IACA since 2002, serving as Director of Arts Education until 2012. Tatiana will be leaving Illinois to accept the position of Executive Director of the Montana Arts Council.

Chairman Shirley R. Madigan said, “Tatiana is a strong, thoughtful leader. In the fifteen years that Tatiana has worked for the IACA, she has made significant contributions to the arts in Illinois and across the nation. The Montana Arts Council is fortunate, and as a team they will be a force for growth in the arts community.”

Tatiana came to the IACA with a degree in the visual arts that allowed her to understand the needs and challenges of the artistic community. She made necessary adaptations to longstanding IACA programs that increased their impact. Her involvement in the program design of the Illinois State Board of Education partnership, and later the National Endowment for the Arts’ Education Leaders Institute showcased her innovative thinking and willingness to learn.

Deputy Director Joshua Davis will be Acting Director until a new Executive Director is put into place.
